Listen to a voice example
Reading a little every day is the easiest way to learn a new language.
These short recordings come from the same voice samples bundled with the app. Download a voice in the app to read your own documents; offline listening uses voices and documents already on your device.

Choose a voice for your document
Select the language that matches your document, then choose a reading voice. Voice availability varies by language. These are document-reading languages; the app interface has a separate language list.
Download Read PDF Aloud on the App Store or see our offline listening guide.
Choose a text-to-speech voice for your PDF
Use the player above to preview a voice. In Read PDF Aloud, import your PDF, choose a voice for the document language and complete any required voice download. Test a short passage to check names, punctuation and reading order.
A voice reads the document in its own language; selecting a voice does not translate the text. For offline listening, keep your PDF on the device and download the voice before disconnecting.
